Just bought an AC Freezer 7 Pro, I have also bought some Arctic Silver 5 compound. Do I need to remove the existing stock compound from the cooler and use the Arctic Silver or will the stock stuff be suficient?

:confused:

Do i need to remove the existing or can I put the Arctic Silver on top of the stock stuff?

If you going to change clean it all off very good.

Do you have a proper cleaning spray to do it with?

You need something that wont leave any film or oil

What household products will do the trick, Acetone? White Spirit? Turps?

Hi Guys,

Well got it all installed just wanted to know what temps I should be getting?

Only been surfing the net and installing apps for about 2 hours now and abit EQ shows the following

CPU= 37
SYSTEM= 30
PWM(???)= 41

Do these look right considering i'm useing a AC Freezer 7 Pro with Arctic Silver 5?

Cheers
Zaf,

Hi Zaf

I'm using the same cooler with the stock compound. I've oc'ed to 3gz and i get.

CPU - 38 idle
System - 36

I ran prime for a few hours and maxed at 58.

I have speedstep on in the bios too.

Try running prime see what temps you get ?

with the freezer 7 and stock paste my idle temp is about 28'c and @load running
orthos it reached 58'c, cpu@ 3.4ghz i had some as5 but i couldnt be bothered removing the stuff that came with the cooler so i just stuck it on as it was.
