Do speed cameras get changed for road works?

Let's say hypothetically that someone was driving into some road works that had a 50 limit, and although was slowing down for it using engine braking failed to notice a truvelo camera because he was briefly distracted, thus he went through it at an indicated 60? Would said person expect to bag themselves a juicy 3 points?

Ha! Some people huh, I can't believe said hypothetical person let it happen to them!

:(

if you are exceeding the speed limit by 10mph and you go past a speed camera, expect to get a ticket.

I drove past a Gatso in a temporary '50' zone on the motorway (roadworks, apparently... but I didn't see any!).

Anyway, I didn't really notice and cruised past it at 70. It didn't flash. So it either hadn't been changed, or wasn't working.

Sometimes they get turned off.. you sure it was a Truvello?

In hampshire and cheshire i believe the answer is yes.

Everywhere else is 10% + 2mph IIRC
Nein. I've gone past a 40 with over 45 on the speedo (so probably 42->44 going by my tracker results) and didnt get a flash.

I live in chester.
