Crysis: now boring

so i got crysis a few days and been playing single player. ive gotten up to the bit where you just get out of that alien cave/core/space ship thing and well now what ... i was bored all though the core level and dont even feel like playing the game anymore. i thought it would be one of those games that would be fun for at least longer than a few days. havent even got to try multiplayer yet as it wont let me log in for what ever reason.

anyone else the same as me ?
 
Yeah the alien cave level is a drag, the control is awful and the maze like tunnels are very frustrating. It's the worst level but things do pick up after you've passed the cave.

Although I'm playing it through the second time on hard mode and I'm still not bored as the AIs are very clever and there are always more than 1 way to approach a particular map.

Multiplayers is ok, I don't like power struggle mode though.
 
Yeah Just like farcry the first levels are great and then something happens near the end and boredom and frustration kick in usally resualting in saying F it and cheating though those levels. Crysis could have been so much better rather than a buggy rushed release. :(
 
I tried replaying farcry a few last year after building my current pc, I got as far as the room with something like six pillars that the enemies are hiding behind. Until that point the game allowed you to take different routes to reach your objective, I got fedup and unistalled it.
 
Exactly the same here, I've just done that stupid no-mavity level and I got so sick of it I just can't be arsed to do the plane bit now. Pity really as I wanted to have finished it by tomorrow :/

I haven't played it the hardest setting but I think you're right, there doesn't seem any need to use ammo sparingly.

As nice as the graphics are, for me the game went into a downward spiral once I did the no-mavity level.
 
I didn't mind the cave, and I had never played far cry.

I found the caves quite honestly ******* scary!

I completed it last night though, and that Nuke cannon thing was a let down. I just wanted to get back on the island after saving (or not) the carrier. I did find fighting that alien carrier stupid though. Also, lack of variation in aliens compaired to HL/HL2.

Loved the VTOL bit!

How long until Crysis 2?
 
In my eyes there were 4 levels to the whole game: jungle, alien cave, snow, carrier.

Got bored, was over too quickly, buggy. Sold it on now.

Role on Farcry 2
 
It was over too quickly, I agree. Snow didn't last long enough, and by the time you get to it you have no ammo so just have to scout about and not get caught by blue zappy monsters.

I got it a few weeks ago on a 3-for-£10 deal and I'm at that point now. I had a few attempts at it and got fed up and watched sin city instead. Looked to me like a blatant matrix lobby scene rip-off.

Gone through it twice, before coming up the cave on the second time round I was gutted I would have to be put through it again.
