Dating sites

No problem, I've had the same experience as you with dating sites, got loads of new friends now - shame nothing ever came of any of em.

Good luck :)

It it was me that had met people I would say via a dating site I would say. I don't feel the need to hide by the "friend" statement.

I was discussing dating sites with a mate the other day and he suggested we start OcUKupid! :D

What ya reckon? :p
We need an effeminate homosexual man to do the matchmaking and introductions, just like on TV.
Damgerous or Gilly should fit the bill rightly.

And if you're sick of those, I prefer doing more then just rolling around... ;).
Tsk, says he whose girlfriend he just posted into the photos thread!

Oh, and to you people trying to one-up Hate about not being ashamed, he mentioned several posts ago how he'd already made lots of friends via a dating site or two. Put your specs on!

I have no problem admitting i've used dating sites, so I don't see why you're bothering with this line of 'insults'.

Good lord! I was only trying to have a bit of joke.

He was also probably typing his reply while I was doing mine.

Don't have a cow man!

Do people still think these sites are a bit of a strange way to meet people? I think it's probably an effective way - better than drunkenly ranting at some poor victim in the pub I suppose.

I think there's probably still a stigma to the whole internet dating thing as far as non-net savvy people are concerned. For those who have done it... what do you say to family and friends when they ask where you met.... do you fabricate some story or are you honest? :)
