Seems like people want them again, sold out nearly everywhere and they are going for £250+ on auction sites, you could pick them up for £180 around xmas time, why do people pay silly money.

Aye I went to Bolton retail park where the Reebok stadium is and 2 shops sold out of Mario Galaxy and Assassins Creed, wtf how can they run out of games in 2008.

Was disappointed, went home and nearly every online shop had them both in stock.

I like the fact that you click the OcUK advert "In Stock" and it takes you to the page saying "Out of Stock!"

Its the equivalent of

"Get in the car i have sweets!"
"HA NO SWEETS!"

and so are most of the popular games. could i find mario galaxy? i've no idea why places are running out of games, let alone consoles

I couldn't even find Lego Star Wars the other week. Ended up paying £40 in Take these two over to the garage, will you? I want you to have both of them cleaned up before dinner.

But I was going into Toshi Station to pick up some power converters...

You can waste time with your friends when your chores are done. Now come on, get to it!

No competitors - Uncle Owen.

been that way for a few weeks now, games and consoles, i was looking for one but i refuse to pay more than RRP. I went to metro centre last week and an independent computer shop had them in stock they wanted £279 with a game, i said no ta and walked out.

Noticed today that it's starting to be referred to as the 'seminal' Wii.

Doing exceedingly well on all accounts.

My fiancee ordered me Galaxy on 8th December through the place that I shouldn't even hint about shop marketplace at a good price when it was out of stock everywhere else. It didn't arrive for Christmas, queue several emails and it finally arrives today. Turns out, despite being sold on a UK site, with UK currency, and the PAL cover image (which my fiancee wouldn't be hugely noticeable of anyway, and who would on a UK site?) that it's a ******* US game.

Now it looks like we've got to send it back to America, to a company with shocking Customer Service to try and get the money back. And you can't get the game for love nor money here in the UK. I've never been so annoyed at not being able to play a game.

No competitor hinting - Zefan.

Wii play with remote is pretty hard to get hold of too, I got lucky with an order to a big department store and mine arrived today, but took me a week to find it.

Yeah, a few places are charging over the top for Wii Play.

Seen it for £40+ or only available if purchased with other peripherals.

So your fiancee bought from an American seller on Marketplace who likely mentioned it was coming from America. And now it's ******'s fault?

Every single American seller on Marketplace has it somewhere in the description.

No excuse for not reading through it tbh.

 were you really that desperate to play it? :p

I wanted to buy a game. About the only games I could find were either utter shovelware, or I just wasn't interested in them.

Plus, I was exchanging The Original Trilogy for the DS, which I'd been given for Christmas, so was kinda duty bound to buy The Complete Saga.

I got my Wii as part of a package from pretty much the only site with Wii's in stock but the games to pick from have changed for the worse IMO
