Goodyear F1 GS-D3 dilema.

I have a set of the Goodyear F1's on my car and I must say I have been thoroughly impressed with them in the 10k I have had the car. I have so far replaced the front 2 but noticed the other day the rear nearside is very low.

I phoned the wife so she could put a couple on order for me but she had real trouble locating any. Basically most places now have them on back order with some suppliers saying they are being discontinued. She has finally located a pair at £44 each but I am weary of putting them on the car incase I cannot get anymore.

I know they have brought out the asymmetric F1 but that isn't available in my size (205/55/16).

Does anyone know if they are indeed being discontinued or have any other recommendations in this size?

The GSD3 has been supercedded by the Asymmetric F1 which is generally seen as an all round better tyre.

Yes but not in r16 size, still is the GSD3 being carried on for smaller sizes.

Assymetric has only replaced the GS-D3 in 17" and above sizes. It is not available in 16" or below and Goodyear have said they will continue to produce the GS-D3 - among other reasons they have OEM contracts to ensure supply in certain sizes anyway.

Any chance you can find out where she's found them at that price? I need 2 new rears.

i beleive the manufacture of the GSD3 has moved from germany to china now, and they are constructed slightly different

The last ones I bought (2x265/35/18) were 'Made in Germany'.

That is a trade price for her garage. But you can get them online delivered for just over £50

I've also had trouble getting hold of these tyres, Can i ask what this online store is?
