..Which wasn't fun for me or it's intended owner, so I got an email in soon after Christmas, but still heard nothing back yet.

Should I phone up by now you reckon? I'm usually quite a passive person so shall I try get angry.

Just wondering what to expect on the phone, who should be paying for the postage of the item if it gets returned? Cuz surely they posted me the wrong item so it's there fault? Can anybody say from experience?

I would push for them to pay the return postage as it is their fault and not just an unwanted return, dont get angry at them just be straight up and to the point

If they sent you something that you did not order and did not recieve the correct goods you need to get onto them ASAP for them to collect the incorrect goods and deliver the correct ones. If they refuse or get you to pay for anything - threaten to use Trading Standards, and do use Trading Standards if it comes down to it.

Aslong as:

  • You haven't opened the item past the shipping packaging
  • Used it
  • Had it for over 30 days~
  • Non UK retailer

Those things could make you run into issues

word on that

I'm 99% sure they're not required to pay the return postage - it's your responsibility to return the goods regardless of where/how you bought them.

They should swap it out or refund it without too much fuss though.

If he had the correct goods delivered, then yes he would have to pay for the postage to do a refund, but it is the incorrect goods, so he shouldn't have to lift a finger, if he does, he should be compensated.
