Hi all, I am looking to source a loud alarm for my nan to use in her home. I have been told by a few people they are available but can't seem to find one in this country myself.. I would prefer one with a remote control to operate it from a distance.

If anyone has any ideas where I can get one of these please let me know!

Cheers, Jack.

My doorbell has a "dog" setting on it. All the different chimes were utter rubbish, so I just left it set to the dog one for (poor) comedy value.

It came from a highstreet electronics components retailer, it's a wireless jobby.

We had one of these, we bought ours at the same time as our next-door neighbours (all of us students at the time), theirs was set to the dog barking while ours was set to some annoying tune. Would always confuse visitors when they heard this random dog barking with no idea what it was. Probably just as confusing when we told them it was nextdoor's doorbell.

And after a while it got yet more confusing when they deliberately set their doorbell to be the same as ours and just started ringing it to annoy us... Normally when they were in our house having took their wireless remote bit with them :D

I got one of those for Christmas :/

I went through all the settings, including the dog one, and promptly put it in the garage for "another day". Not impressed at all.
