George Foreman Lean Mean Grilling machine

Seriously, there are recipies and cooking times for most common foods in it. Some foods come out perfect in it, others it can spoil a bit (good quality steak for example). As for cleaning, if you aren't a clutz and a big jessie, wipe it down while it's still hot and everything wipes right off. I've never had a problem keeping mine spotlessly clean.
 
Cooking is easy, you'll figure it out it really is not that difficult.
Once finished cooking place a couple of wet/damp kitchen paper towels on and close it. Makes cleaning it a lot easier!

Seriously though, I've used them before, they're really good. You get grilled steak that doesn't swim in its own grease.

GREASE, what steaks are you eating.

They are ok a change to cooking but I prefer to use a big griddle pan.
 
shove it at the back of the cupboard and foget about it , ours was used twice I think

dries your food out and is a right git to clean

Not if you use olive oil on it first :rolleyes: and its easy to clean - use mine all the time.

Put some effort into it !
 
Easy to clean. I clean mine the next day when I'm lazy. Soft sponge + boiling water from kettle. wee bit of fairly liquid aswell then rinse with boiled water again.

Never use mine though, sits above the fridge as I have no room for it elsewhere. The only thing it's good for is sausages as you see just how much fat comes out of them and it puts you off eating them for a while.

Agreed Griddle pan is better, as is a oven grill.
 
Cooking Sausage's on these things are the way to go :D

get sausage > slice down the middle so it opens up > place in grill > cook > slap on toast = OM NOM NOM

I just cleaned mine while it was still hot from cooking, it just wipes straight off then.
 
As it happens I've just used ours to do some chicken which went absolutely lovely in some French Bagette with a little mayo.
Ours has the removeable plates at the top & bottom, so once you've finished with it you just unclip those and put them straight in the dishwasher, no messing around.

Steaks should NEVER be put anywhere near one of these.
A Steak will dry out and this makes for an extremely bad steak.
You need to have the fats around a steak to keep it moist - if you want 100% healthy then don't have a steak.
Don't try and make it more healthy by making it bone dry.
 
i love my foreman, use it every day

chicken straight from frozen into it is a lifesaver, dont need to bother defrosting chicken anymore :)
 
dno if this has been mentioned as i aint read the entire thread but... toasties are awesome from george ! :D butter outside of the bread so it goes all golden brown and crispy! :d
