Good news, Fifa 08 outsold PES2008 in 2007, which wasn't the case in 2006 IIRC (and rightly so). Thankfully it seems like the British people were willing to listen to word of mouth rather than some very dodgy reviews (Games Master).

I must admit, I didn't think it would be the best selling game and it's surprising, but it looks like EA are going to have some massive backing going into Fifa 09 so I hope it's something special, and more so that Konami are really going to have to come back with PES2009 which I'm hoping will be phenomenal.

Great news, Pro evo lacked gameplay. Hopefully this will finally cause Konami to pull there fingers out of their derriere and finally add something to the game, though I doubt it.

Fifa this year was something I really enjoyed :) Deserved best seller actually, so many games nowadays seem to lack replay-ability, but Fifa does seem to go on and on :)

I gave up with PES on the 360, I tried and tried to play it but so many things were putting me off. I liked the gameplay but too many unresolved bugs. Started playing fifa today and I am loving 5v5!!! Maybe next season we can have 11v11, hopefully its possible

I was disappointed with both to be honest.

Fifa 08 was marginally better than 07 for me, so I still don't really like it. EA are getting there, though.

PES08 was just horrendous, a step backwards in game play and online functionality. I started playing 06 again and it's so much better. If they fix the online in 08 I might give it another go.

I owned and played both extensively offline and online and have come to the conclusion that both are awful. But for very different reasons.

FIFA is excellent (finally). Pro Evo continued it's steady slide into mediocrity.

Happy to see the better of the two games sell more, although it doesn't mean that much ultimately as FIFA has consistently outsold Pro Evo in previous years even when it was ****.

I like both this year for various reasons, but I haven't played Pro Evo 08 for ages, and considering the time I spent on PES6 that is saying something.

I know it is a long way off yet but I have high hopes for FIFA 09. I hope they speed it up ever so slightly. Make shots more powerful more often. More fouling animations and lastly make the control a bit more responsive.

I am glad FIFA has outsold PES, hopefully it kicks Konami in the nads and makes them sort it out a bit.

I really enjoy Fifa 08. I am playing 06 World Cup at the moment concurrently, which I think 08 slightly shades. Love the speed in 06 tho!
