I just had an email from my tutor at uni asking if I could come to a tutorial on Tuesday. I replied:

"Yes, that's fine, see you next Tuesday!"

:eek: ;) :(

Do you think she'll take offence?

Um, why would that be offensive?

Unless you're at Oxford/Cambridge and have to be ridiculously formal because your tutor is a baroness I wouldn't worry about it.

PK!

Molehill --> Mountain

Nothing wrong with that at all.

Edit: ah, as per above... I doubt she'll notice, I imagine not many of us would have unless it was pointed out

It's fairly mainstreem slang afaik. As in "he's a right see you next Tuesday"

EDIT: sounds incredibly camp now I think about it :S

I have heard it before but I wouldnt say it was mainstream... maybe Im just moving in the wrong circles for such language ;)

Would have never even noticed if it hadn't been pointed out.

Nowt wrong with that e-mail.

Depends how they e-mail you really, as to whether it's appropriate. I'd very much doubt anyone would be offended though (she certainly isn't going to recognise ^that^ if that's what you're worried about) and that's how I'd e-mail a few of my tutors.

e.g. One of my zoology tutors responded to a question I asked him by e-mail with 'OK'. He clearly hadn't even read the e-mail. I'm not going to take the time to write anything sensible back to him.
