Favourite song of 2007?

The Editors did a really good song, cant really remember the name though, ill find out when i get home..

"Foo Fighters - Long Road To Ruin" was awsome aswell.

NIN - Capital G

That and many quality others were in with a chance:
Black History Month - Saul Williams
Bloc Party - I Still Remember
Feist - 1 2 3 4
Iron & Wine - White Tooth Man + Resurrection Fern
Maxïmo Park - Our Velocity + By the Monument
Kanye West - Stronger
Chemical Bros - Do It Again
Modest Mouse - Spitting Venom
Band of Horses - Is there a Ghost?
Pendulum - Granite + Blood Sugar
Say Anything - The Church Channel
Scouting for Girls - She's so Lovely...

BUT, my favourite song released 2007 has got to be:

Modest Mouse - Dashboard

The Holloways - What's the Difference is my most played song last year, but I'd probably have to say that Soulja Boy - Crank Dat is my favourite right now.

Hmm can't narrow it down to one but here's a couple...

Manics - Rendition - album track off Send Away The Tigers that not only rocks but lyrically deals with a very serious issue in (for the Manics at least) a light hearted way - where else would you get the lines 'All these Air Miles that I'm missing' and 'Good God I sound like a liberal' in a song about CIA abduction/torture flights?!

Maximo Park - Girls Who Play Guitars & Velocity

Bloc Party - Flux - great song, a little different to their album stuff but carp video.

Editors - Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors & Racing Rats - while perhaps not reaching the heights of Bullets or Munich I felt these summed up a more consistend second album.

That and many quality others were in with a chance:

Iron & Wine -Resurrection Fern
Modest Mouse - Spitting Venom

Spitting Venom is a brilliant song. I also like Boy with a Coin from that Iron and Wine Album.

Mistaken for Strangers by The National is a quality song as well.

Yes Boy with a Coin is amazing, in fact, the whole Shepherd's Dog album is amazing, definitely in my top 5 of last year.

Radiohead - Reckoner
Anoushka Shankar & Karsh Kale (feat. Norah Jones) - Easy
Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around.../...Comes Around
Ulver - Eos
Dethklok - The entire Dethalbum

Coming from a self-confessed metalhead.

Nightwish's new album was the highlight for me for new stuff last year.

Aside from that (as I enjoyed some of the tracks, and want to see how the new singer grows), Download Festival and Metallica @ Wembley were my high points, nothing else really caught me.
