Heard rumours a few months ago and seems it's true. Carling Academy opens at the old Roxy Disco dump. Just about all the place is missing for me, might try and get a job there.

The place was bought in november and work's been started already. Launch night is 11th April.

Yeah about time we had something like this in Sheffield. I know there's Leadmill and places like that, but somewhere proper would be good.

Best thing is the company that owns Embrace nightclub, contacted the council and complained that the Carling Academy shouldn't be allowed there as it will cause drunken disorderly behavior in the city centre. Coming from the club that is a haven for druken chavs to kick off, about time that was closed down.

Only about 4 dates announced. Only one that is sold out is launch night which is reverend and the makers.
