Good foods to keep for times like this

You can get these Chinese microwave in a cardboard box things (i cant remember there name) Open - put on topping - microwave for like 3-4mins - eat there pretty tasty to

I'd vouch for any type of meat, be it sausages, chicken, venison, ox or squirrel, just cook it beforehand, and any you have left over get munching, protein fills you up more and you gain your first man point of the day.

Make something like a stew and freeze it in whatever sized portions you'd like. Whenever you feel peckish sling it in the microwave and heat it through, good hearty food in minutes :D

Peanut butter is loaded with hydrogenated fats (unless you go for a natural variety), an id stay away from refined white flour (go for brown bread).

The croissants are full of butter.

Not being picky but he did ask for healthy snacks.

i sure did, and there doesnt seem to be much such 'healthy' options. And i dont exacltly want some 'weight watchers' products either.
anyway i got some brie and crackers today, i wont how they will serve me.

At 5:31am, I'm usually tucking into a bowl of porridge with a teaspoon of honey on top... unless it's a weekend, and then I get a lie in until 7:30am

Porridge is a brilliant food to have in your cupboard, especially if it's one of the really good ones like Jordans Organic, which is so nice that you don't even need to make it with milk.

oh yeah, poridge is a good one to keep, doesnt go off either (for a while). I just need to make sure i have milk too :)

and mm tuc crackers! good suggestion, but too addictive.

Total rubbish, clearly you attest to the retardation method of dieting. Its all about moderation.

If you eat a moderate amount each day, with a clear balancing of nutritional qualities there is absolutely NO reason why you cant enjoy a nice warm croissant smothered with nutella spread and not become a gib-ah-jab-ah fatty It only becomes unhealthy if before consuming said item, you spent the whole day munching on crisps and chocolate washing it all down with beers, sodas and other sugary drinks.

Enjoy the finer things in life. The problems come from exessive quantity, not quality.

Oh dear, read the thread once again.

I never said that croissants and peanut butter could not form part of a healthy and balanced diet, the OP asked for healthy snacks and looking at peanut butter and croissants in isolation (without specifying the rest of the diet) they are certainly not healthy items.

Furthermore weight is not always an indicator of health, there are plently of 'thin' or those of a medically normal weight who are rather unhealthy.

Another good one for when you want something sweet is sugar free jelly...

Get some small sealed tubs and make a few up. They last a while.
