HDMI 1.2 / 1.3 - Cable Compatibility.

Hi,

I've had lots of problems recently ordering a tele from a certain company, and it seems like the 2 models of "HUMAX" televisions i have had the hdmi port has been faulty when trying to make it work with the PS3 (although my hanspree 32" works fine". I've just ordered the Samsung 19" 'Samsung LE19R86BDX'. It says that the HDMI port is V1.2. The PS3 HDMI cable i have says 1.3 on it. Are these compatible? Or am i going to have problems yet again :confused:

Cable is a Cable. Ignore the version numbers on cables. Any cable up to 10meters is fine.

so are all the hdmi cables pretty much the same? like some can go for £1 for like 2 metres, but others are like £40 for 2 metres and i don't get why? it just because they can charge that so they do and of course qualitty isn't 40 times better

Pretty much from what i've been hearing. I think the cheapest one's i've heard of that are decent start from £8! I think because it's relatively new technology for the consumer they know that they can get away with the pricing.

Its all digital. It gets there or it doesn't.

Do you pay $200 for a usb cable. Same thing.
