So how about a thread where people can post vague memories of a given film and pick the brains of others in an effort to name it?

I'll start: Its a sci-fi / fantasy b movie, likely from between the mid 50's to the late 60's at oldest. Its plot centres on a submersable going off course underwater (for reasons I dont remember) and surfacing in an underwater cavern. There the occupants discover a city inhabited by humans but under seige from monsters (the monsters being giant iquanas as is typical of these sorts of movies).

Ive looked on wikipedia at the sci fi film lists but couldnt find it. Thanks in advance!

Thats going to annoy me know, seen that a few times many years ago. Can't for the life of me remember what its called...

By the sounds of things it could be Warlords Of Atlantis -

Although the dates don't tally.

Thats the one! Thanks! Your right the dates dont tally. I thought it was older only because I got the impression it used the early colour cameras and had more of a 50's feel to it than the slightly more contrived direction of 70's + sci fi movies.

I have anouther one!

90's romance/drama/tragedy tale set in a North American city (I cant rule out it being a Canadian film). Its about a quiet emotionally scarred but moral man working in a cafe kitchen or something. His work colleague (a waitress I think) tries to crack his exterior and befriend him. He rescues her from a rape attempt in a night darkened park and soon love blossoms. But the would-be rapists come back for revenge on him, and he dies. It was a heart wrenching movie and quite a jolt to my system when I first watched it at only 12 years old. I remember it to this day though.

Here's one I have vague memories of. I'm pretty sure it's a well-known film. All I remember of it is that it was made in the 80s or early 90s, set in the near future, and had a transportation method - futurama-style metal pipes running along the sides of roads, and you'd climb in and barrel along until you got to the end. Can't have been a great film otherwise i probably would have remembered something else about it.

I don't think I've ever seen Logan's Run. I assume one of the characters in it must have been from our time, as I remember someone yelling as they went through the pipe.
I might have dreamt this.
