Resistance 2 info OMG!!! ( if true)

Why don't you misguided PS3 fanatics give the real games the respect they deserve, like Gran Turismo 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Those two games got nothing in terms of recognition, and Resistance 2 got thoroughly ejaculated upon on several gaming forums already. It disgusts me.

Possibly as its braking news of the 2nd biggest selling game on the PS3 and one of the 6 best PS3 games out?
Theres a large thread on this site just about GT5P and when it comes out to the UK it will be even larger, MGS4 has had so much hype latley but it always ends up as a its coming to 360 not its not argument. On neogaf there a near 1000 post thread just on the CES demo of mgs4, i don't think anyone's is not giving those games the recognition they deserve anywhere.

Erm last thing I hear MGS4 and GT5 are getting a fair bit of press about them!
I only heard about this game today, calm down

Woop woop, PS3 defense force to the rescue. You guys make me lol :p

Anyways, pardon me I've had quiet a bit to drink, and it always tickles my funny bones to see people excited over something like Resistance... it's like your grasping at straws but you don't need to do that anymore, the PS3 is just fine as it is!

See, this is why I told myself I should never post 'opinions' again. Only informal stuff

Pardon me if some drunken old fool like myself should dampen your enthusiasm, maybe you should get out of your layers of cotten wool? It's a big old world out there ;)

You're getting this completely wrong :p That last comment was just like a general thing... because I realised posting my own opinionated comments are actually useless when there's already pages of other such comments :/

Wouldn't this forum be dead if everyone thought the same thing?

What I'm trying to say is, I really can't understand why people are getting so hyped up... you look at SA and NeoGAF, they are saying this is the Halo 3/Killzone killer, and it's just ridiculous. Going off a featureset for what is ultimately a sequel to a mediocre FPS, I cannot help but laugh! I am aware that MGS4 and GT5 gets a lot of press, but R2 is getting the same treatment and it is impossible to justify. I am a very bitter man when it comes to press fairness and all that kind of thing (for example Madeline got way more press than travesties in Afghanistan over Christmas) so naturally I am one to toot my horn when something like MGS4 gets an incredible show at CES (look it up, fantastic footage) but an announcement of a sequel to some boring launch game like Resistance totally usurps attention. It grates, irks, vexes me, etc...

Ditto.
It's the main reason I tend to use these forums for information rather than for my opinions.
I really can't be bothered getting into the 'I am right and you are wrong' kind of arguements as it wastes pointless energy.

So you're just going to let the naysayers get their debates across and that's it? How boring... or maybe you just lack 'energy'? Is that it?

And that's exactly why I can't help posting opinions :p

Anyway, shall we get back on topic?
....Or not

Not at all.
I just can't be bothered wasting time on pointless arguements.
I said my tuppence worth with regard to a game I have enjoyed playing but I am not going to be drawn into an arguement with those who dislike the game.

Aw go on go on go on go on. :p

I'll give Resistance the credit it deserves by having consistency with regards to artistic direction, graphics and performance. I personally thought the last few levels were the most graphically stunning of any game to date. But unfortunately the gameplay was to an extent where if you played the first level, you've pretty much experienced the whole game already. I hope R2 offers much more in the way of gameplay variety.

I mostly agree with what your saying but i dont think this is any where as big as MGS 4 and GT5. Like i said its getting a lot of press today as its new, and as many other people enjoyed the first one you must see why people are happy about some of the features coming to the sequel. After a few days this will be old news something else will come up, but people will still be hyped far more for MGS4 and GT5 than this game. The CES demo for MGS4 was good, even if it was very much like all the previous ones, but much more refined i guess id call it. Good news from ryan peyton today that its just in the finishing off stages and now you can play through the whole game so hopefully looking good for a possible May/June release? We'll find out more in Feb on MGS4, possibly at the GDC in early Feb as Kojima has stated that in Feb he will talk about the release dates and other MGS4 greatness.

Isn't this the downfall of most first person shooters?
Apart from the fact that different levels may have a better selection of weapons avaliable to help finish it, it's basically 'kill the same bad guys over and over again.
Personally I don't consider it a downfall as I just enjoy shooting bad guys and blowing up things when I can.
MOHA was criticised because the general gameplay was the same as the earlier games (oh look, another AA gun to stick a pack of explosive on).
Again this didn't bother me and I enjoyed the game and it was just another WWII game to emerse myself in after yet another day of wishing I could shoot customers at work :D
