That looks like a right beast, I was thinking about about getting a new cooler for my GTX. I might go for one of these if they are a decent price.

there not remotely buzzing hornets, they only go upto 2000RPM, not the ridiculous 6500RPM you usually see for small fans, reckon it'll be a good cooler

Did you read the review, with 65% fan load and near 'silent' operation temps are below 65c, id say thats pretty good by todays standards.

Aftermarket coolers are rare for the 2900, I've got a decent case so may look into getting one.

lovely how this cooler is for the 2900 and old 8800s, whch are now obsolete due to the 3800s and G92 8800s (which it cant fit).....

would have been great 3-6 months ago, now its a bit of a waste

Not really, in fact it wouldn't cool at all as it doesn't fit the same cards.

Lots of people have these cards and don't want to or can't afford to change and there are a lot being sold second hand... so it makes sense for them to release at least one cooler that is compatible rather than losing out on the potential sales altogether.

Anyone tried one these yet? Installed mine today, excellent piece of kit.

Load temp was around 80c, now its 52c.
