Arctic Accelero Xtreme VGA cooler review

That looks like a right beast, I was thinking about about getting a new cooler for my GTX. I might go for one of these if they are a decent price.

Id take the slightly hotter yet quieter S1 with a 120mm fan over 3x80mm buzzing hornets anyday

there not remotely buzzing hornets, they only go upto 2000RPM, not the ridiculous 6500RPM you usually see for small fans, reckon it'll be a good cooler

Is that sweet looking or what !

An 800rpm 120mm fan and s1 8800gt 30-35c idle 40c gaming load 46c ozone 3d full load.

3slot cooler, air not exhausted form pc...

well, no way I would buy this, I cant believe they even reccomend this product. a S1 and an extra fan cools so much better than this abomination of a cooler.

lovely how this cooler is for the 2900 and old 8800s, whch are now obsolete due to the 3800s and G92 8800s (which it cant fit).....

would have been great 3-6 months ago, now its a bit of a waste

Not really, in fact it wouldn't cool at all as it doesn't fit the same cards.

Yeah whats the point in making it not to work with G92s?

Lots of people have these cards and don't want to or can't afford to change and there are a lot being sold second hand... so it makes sense for them to release at least one cooler that is compatible rather than losing out on the potential sales altogether.
