New car 3 series

You do provide honest advice Fox as is apparent on this forum, as do Nickxxx, Mark, Zain and more.

I understand the point on the MV's, obviously id be sitting too high on standard suspension, so whats the options on alloys ?.

Ocuk seems a decent BM forum :), are there others ?.

Any upgrades you guys think would suit please post.

Regards
Al

BMWland is ok.

MV1's would actually sit well with that car as you have the pre-facelift sport bumpers already (which came with MV1s).

I would also consider the M-Sport 17" wheels too though which tend to go for less than the 18" MVs and have the advantage of cheaper tyres.

It'd be worth dropping it onto the M-Sport springs or, even better, Eibach pro springs for a smidge over £100 if you did go for 18" wheels.

I reckon it might work with MV2's too - this is mine:

Your fuel economy should be very good, my 1.9 gets 400miles on the dot per tank with all town driving inc the daily commute or a bit over 500 when combined with motorway. The 2L has vanos and is a newer engine so should get better figures I'd imagine!

You could get a dual exit backbox then nobody would tell the difference between 4cyl/6cyl...well apart from the difference in engine note of course :p

:P

If mine was a facelift 318 with 140hp I'd not be looking to change it tbh, it's a really nice car but needs more bhpeeeeeees!

So yours is a 1.9 petrol 52 plate 318i?. (what bhp is it?)

I didint know there were MV1's & MV2's, I love the MV2's, which would I be right in thinking they are on 330D model ?.

Mine is a DEC 1999 model SE, 118bhp .

Genuine MV2s I've seen always on facelift model sport models of 325/328/330 round here

No such thing as a facelift Sport 328. 328 was discontinued in 2000.

The MV2's replaced the MV1's as the standard fit 18 inch wheel for 6 cylinder (and 320d) Sport models in 2003.

MV2's are unfortunately the design favoured by the chavs with £500 E36's. Ebay is awash with replicas and they are now on every E36 Coupe in the world, ever :(
