ps3 warranty??

I've been looking for a ps3 and have been offered one with the game skate and a fragfx controller for about £230. its a 40gig one. now the person originally bought it from don't even think about hinting. now if i buy it off him and have a problem would i have to contact him and get him to go throughROFL MY CAKES for me or can i just ring sony and get them to sort it out. also is the warranty on the ps3 12 months?

You would need to ring Sony if you had a problem about it. Sticky at the top of the page has some useful phone numbers. Sounds like a good deal btw :p and yes the warranty is 12 months.
 
Ring Sony, tell them the serial number on the back of the console and they will deliver a new one to your door within 2-3 days no questions asked :)

The customer service is superb.
 
Might be worth removing the competitor from your first post flexo.

EDIT: You have removed one but you have left the second one (ie you mentioned the same place twice but have only changed it once)

BTW: Can you post what you think of the Fragfx as I've been tempted by this for sometime but have heard mixed reports on whether it's any good.

if i get it i will do as at the momemt im torn between 360 and this.D ont expect me to go into detail as im not a pc gamer and so prefer the playstation pad
 
knocked him down to £200. gonna go tomorrow to collect. anyone know if theres anything i should check apart from the basics which is if it plays games
 
got the ps3 today. got 3 questions though

1)wanting to get tekken but does it matter which region i get it from or are they all the same??

2)if i was to import games from america when i play online can i connect play my mates that have u.k copies of the games?

3) on games that are multi platform can i play my mates that have that game on 360?

Depends on the game as some games connect to their regions servers etc. I bought a US copy Tiger Woods 08 and can only connect to US servers - can't play my mates!
