I've spied on XBL that there's a demo for Dead Rising, now at the minute I've got a good few games to get through, but this is definitely on my want list. Is it a decent enough demo to download or shall I not waste my time and wait?

Well, I spent a fair while on the demo screwing around before I bought the game. Definately worth a download. :)

It's amongst the best 360 titles I've played. No idea about the demo though but the full game is great. Best looking FMV scenes on the 360 to date and two hot gurls with boobehs :D

I spied the limited tin edition second hand up town yesterday for £25 and with all my will and resistence dragged myself away :(

Just download it anyway.

I have found its one of those games you either love or hate. a lot of people IIRC loved it for its no holes barred zombie slash fest and a lot of people hated it for the simple reason that it could get boring very quickly.

Its best to make up your own mind from it (the demo is representative of the actual game albeit time limited).

Sounds fair enough to me :)

I think the game can be found quite cheaply now so I would go and buy it.

The problem with the demo is that the best parts of the game (IMO) are not available.

The good part of the demo though being that you get to hear the classic dialog :p

Frank offering to take the gun and help
Woman: "You know how to use this?"
Frank: "Kinda, I've covered wars you know" :D:D

Nah I didn't like it either, the demo was brilliant fun just messing about with no objectives but I really didn't like the actual game they wrapped around the setting.

A real marmite game some people absolutely love it and some think it's utter tripe!

Personally don't think the demo was a good representation of the game because it doesn't actually have anything of what you do in the real game in it. In the demo it's just a total sandbox mess about game in the real game you spend most of the time running about chasing some time limited objectives.

Just watched a video review and it does look a lot of fun, if not just for the mindless slaughtering! :D

Bit of a marmite game, I couldn't get into it. Maybe it was the dodgy save system or something but I just didn't like it.

Same. I tried to get back into it today actually but I died and it saved and took me back to the title screen and i had to start the game all over again?

As pointed out already, people with low IQs seem to have a problem comprehending the save system in Dead Rising. It involves going to a save point, and then saving the game. As you can see, this is a complex matter and therefore I think you should think long and hard about whether the game is for you.

amen. I mean after a bit you know exactly where all the save points are. I tended to save most times I passed one. It really isn't that hard of a concept to grasp.

@OP: buy this game. Its in the 'classics' range now so can be had for £12.99 brand spanking new. Definately one of the 360's best titles and something that will keep you going for hours and hours.

If you do get it, remember to read my guide on my site

/end shameless site pimp

:)

i remember playin the demo when it was out and enjoyed it then even though it was just a bit of mindless slaughtering in a time limit

the actual game does have missions to do, i.e. save people from the zombies etc, get to the roof in 24 hours IIRC??

also it always makes me smile seein a group of zombies shuffling round with lego man heads on lol :)
