I have cranked it up to 3.4ghz (almost) with a freezer pro and stock vcore. She now runs around 44c and 62 under Prime (coretemp, as Bios tells me more like 65c).

I have been thinking about going for a Thermalright 120 but with three reservations;

1. Just spent cash on the rig and it would be a waste
2. I would have to take the whole thing apart to fit and it might bust
3. Is it really going to make much difference to push to maybe 3.8ghz.

Games seem to be GPU limited and other than a bit of family video not much else troubles the rig.

views??

If i were you i wouldn't be that bothered.

However if you really want to see how far you can push the chip then go for it...

Really I dont think day-to-day you see much difference past 3.2/3.4 but its a hell of a lot of fun finding out what your CPU can do :)

Agreed - apart from some benchmarks.

Who is "She" by the way? Did you manage to get a hand picked female version? :D

be prepared to lap your cpu and heatsink if you are to get a 120 extreme

if you're not, and you want better cooling ( that's quieter than the af7 on full whack as well) get a tuniq tower
