OcUK Forum Trolls - WoW Guild

I went up from level 34 to 42 over the weekend. And replace almost my entire gear! I am well pleased with my progress this wkend and with my new items I destroy everything my level. I can solo SM GY now (since level 40!).

How was your wkends WoW progress?
 
my progress was awesome. from 51 to 55 and 10k away from 56.

with the new patch getting xp from quests is so easy.

i just completed all the ungoro quests, many of which you can do concurrently. its like being rested all the time. it did help that i was rested for 2 of those levels however.

Dodegm, we'd really like to get the GM situation sorted ASAP. We're in the process of picking GM at the moment but if you can make me (Kroney) GM for now i can pass it on once it's been decided. If i need to be on at the same time as you to do it i'll be on any time tonight after 19:30 till late.

Any form of response would be appreciated. I have also emailed you if you'd like to respond there.

Here's hoping! When/if you are GM can you please bump me up to Officer? I'm not going to quit again (put too much effort in now :p) and plan to be online lots so it'd make sense for now.
 
Zefan any reason why you would not want to be GM? Or should/shouldnt? you have end game raid exp right?

Then again Cliffy has ran a guild that raided so he might be the right man. Cliff, how come the guild you last ran was disbanded? If you dont mind me asking, just out or curiosity thats all.

I'd be well up for it, I haven't had any experience of the game over level 40 however although I'm not sure that really matters until we have more members at higher levels.

And yeah I did quit, for about 3 days :p
 
The one Jodie and i ran together was in DAoC, in WoW i was a raid leader and second in command type person. I quit playing DAoC and the WoW guild disbanded. We were a social guild turned raid guild and as such recruited heavily. The problem was we kept getting new people in, running them through MC / ZG, getting them geared up and trained how to play (a lot were new players who never raided before) and then they'd go off to one of the more established guilds, we all got fed up in the end and i quit the game shortly before it was disbanded,
 
TBH Being GM is a royal pain in the ass in most cases. When you raid each week there is usually always drama over spots and what people need to do. Some players dont agree to the GM's methods and think they can change it which can cause rifts and split ppl up in the guild. Another case is when someone has an issue with another player and the GM has to get involved.

It can really be like babysitting while trying to progress the guild. - talking from experience here.

But I'm not saying that is the case here, although I'm quite sure once there are lots of 70s there will be instances, its how the GM deals with it that will take this guild forward.. or backwards

Cliff, very similar to the one me and a friend ran in a lot of ways. I think as this is a close community there shouldn't be this sort of crap. (I would hope at least, if not Zefan can ban :D )

EDIT: You AND Jodie??? You can't have a woman in charge :eek:

I think Cliff would be excellent as I posted on the forum thread. We actually ran it together but I'm more interested in being office/raid leader than just GM. I was raid leader before too and people behaved or they had dkp docked :p You get used to sorting out disputes about spaces in raids too and it was done fairly.

Hey, why not? I was well respected as was Cliff, got the job done and got the guild through all the raids.
 
The GM needs to be someone with previous experience really so either Cliff or Jodie sounds like a good idea.

As for the officers I think they should be assigned out to people who are active and helping other people. Shouldn't be limited to 1 per class as I've seen done before, because that can end up being a bit unfair.

On another note, is there a guild forum up and running ? I tried the one listed in the guil information and it didn't seem to work.
