I have just got a new coolermaster 832 tower and it has the option of additional fans, one on the top and four on the side.

Firstly does anyone have one of these? And secondly is it better to go for fans that are 140mm or 120mm?

What are the benefits?

Thanks

generally the bigger than fan the less RPM (and therefore noise) it needs to produce a set CFM..

i.e. numbers from nowhere here just to demonstrate!

120mm Fan = 2000 RPM For 70 CFM
1400mm Fan = 1500 RPM For 70 CFM

OCuk doesnt seem to do any. Can you recommend a brand or model to look for?

Aerocool do 2 diff speeds/models of 140mm's

140mm Streamliner (actually near Silent but not much airflow/pressure) I owned these.

140mm Silver Lightning.

Google their site as not wanna post incase they have a shop.

Thanks. They look good. Do you think they will be very loud? 19 dps???

I can have up to five of these installed.

Their specs are pretty accurate.

If you need a good airflow/pressure for a highly OC'd rig no, they are near silent and you cant feel much air on your hand.

The 140mm Silver Lightning on a controler would be better for that use.

You can have my 2 if you want.

We aint allowed to talk that here, postage would cover it.

I used for 1month but was in a old highly OC'd NF2 Rig so even though it was fine it was hotter than ideal.
