See he works away from home mon-fri, so have a feeling that his dad may have bought it as a surprise, so I dont want to phone him up and spoil it.

Your right - No.13 cannot park to save her life ! But she gets out on the other side anyway, as she parks with the back to the wall.

His dad used to park his S-class in the same space - dont know how the hell he got it out every morning, as its so close to the wall, you cant drive out directly, as there is no angle at all - if that makes sense !

Ok, done a bit more digging - he has a personal number plate, and its not that DIL 4007 or whatever.

Maybe his dad hasnt had time to change the plates around ? Also on the back the plate is missing, and it just has the sticky pads, so maybe they are in the process of changing the plates round ?
