Been past a local church and they have started doing this with there witty slogans.

"Not enough exposure to the son....will get you burnt!"

"Did Christmas cost you a lot this year? God feels the same way!"

BTW im not religious.

Anymore around you?

Why on my drive to work should I have to look at stupid church signs when I dont believe in it, im sure if i wrote to my council and said I was muslim and found these signs offensive they would demand them taken down, but because I dont believe they wont

I think you'll find you are just being silly now.

Are you actuallly making a point about the signs, or is it just a not so sly dig at muslims and PC culture?
 
There's one near us that's been doing it for ages with "Know God, Know Jesus" etc... on the front. While I'm totally for people having their own beliefs, it does get me a bit that they feel the need to advertise it in such a way with garish colours on posters right by the road side. Other churches locally have got by just fine without resorting to "witty" plays on words.

The same church had a sign outside that originally advertised the Baptist Church, which some bright spark changed to read:

"FIRM BAPS AND T*TS"

Now that I don't mind seeing every day as I drive past. :D

Congratulations, religious fundamentalists of all beliefs are proud of you. There's nothing like being so wrapped up in your own beliefs you find other people's offensive to show that you're a nice person.

I notice your in Beverley - which church is doing that? Has the minster turned evangelical? :p
 
There's one at the bottom of Whiteladies road in Bristol that normally has something like that written on it. I walked past it the other day but didn't see what it said. Anyone else know which one I'm talking about?

By trusting in Jesus, that he died to save us, makes us co-heirs with him, into the glory of Heaven.

Without Jesus we cannot consider ourselves sons of God
