I'm trying to find a decent breakdown of the Pepper and Chilli packs on a Cooper, 2002-2004. i.e. What was standard, and optional for each pack.

Does anyone know where I might find it?

Thanks

Samples from each pack:

Pepper:

Normally is a different steering wheel, normally 2 or 3 spoke and one with Multifunction..

A choice of OEM Stereo (Cassette or CD BOOST)

Chrome Interior

Front Fogs

Interior light package (Lights that change colour etc)

Passenger seat height Adj

Storage Pack (More nooks and crannies lol)

Trip Computer (Tells you Speed on Rev Counter Digitally, Current and Average MPG, Average speed and Outside Tempreture)

Chilli Pack

Choice of Uphostry

Choice of Alloys

Along with all the stuff above really.. but in the additional equipment you can specify what other stuff you want (IE Auto Lights and Wipers.. you can pretty much chop and change all of them)

My One is more higher specced than most ones, mine had the Pepper pack inclusive of Auto Lights, Auto Wipers as well as an enhanced stereo system and A/C.. Any questions about them, ask away! also Mini2 and the club in my sig, Mini-addiction are a resouceful bunch :)

And West given he wants to buy a Cooper why on earth is it relevant what spec your base model is?

It may not be relevant to you but he's just telling the guy what he has in his options pack - hardly off topic.

The packs differ with trim levels, ehanced stereo was not part of the pack, it was an option on its own. Here is a comprehensive listing of the previous model Mini Pepper and Chilli packs for Cooper:

Pepper pack (MINI Cooper): Floor mats
Brilliant silver interior trim
Passenger seat height adjustment
Storage compartment pack
Front fog lamps
On-board computer
Interior light pack

Plus 15” 8 spoke alloys and chrome bumper inserts.

Chili pack (MINI Cooper): Pepper pack plus KALEIDO cloth/leather upholstery with leather steering wheel, leather gear knob, driver and passenger sports seats, Sport Suspension Plus, 16” 5-star alloys wheels, rear roof spoiler.

Could you not of just informed him he was wrong instead of putting it the way you did?

Cheers, I wasn't sure how the current model applied to the older one.

I've been looking around recently, and I've seen all maner of combinations of equipment. I thought the Trip computer was standard with the Pepper and Chilli, but several I've seen don't appear to have it?
Likewise, a Mini dealer told us that the Chilli was standard on the S, but we saw an S with barely any equipment in it! :p

Every Mini thread we get a rundown of the options on his One. It's tiresome. It's useful if someone is asking about buying a Mini One, or wants general ownership experiences, but it's not very relevant in a specific thread which be answered simply be providing the exact information the OP requires.

I thought the Trip computer was standard with the Pepper and Chilli, but several I've seen don't appear to have it?

I believe the trip computer wasn't included in early MINI option packs. For example my One doesn't have it although it has a pack - yet my friend's One does, but it's a year newer.

I thought that might have been the case to be honest, what year is your One?

Also how do Xenons come into it ?, I am pretty sure I have seen Copper Ss without them and Ones with them are they in another pack ?

Also Foxs no need to speak the way you do about West, no doubt you wouldn't like replies like that about you.

They are part of the Chilli pack for the Cooper S, IIRC :)

Incorrect actually..

a lot of the options, regardless of what car it is are identical.. so.. I copied some of the options off the main Mini website from the R56 Cooper so no, I'm not wrong AT all Fox
