One For You Heavy Sleepers...

It still doesn't solve my problem of staying awake after the alarm is stopped :(

I set 5 alarms on my phone each with snooze set between 1-5 mins and repeated every minute. I still fall asleep between each one. I guess I need a bed that actually tips you out lol! :p

don't put the alarm within arm-proximity of the bed then

You should get one of those plug timers. Set your downstairs Hi-Fi at full blast, Nepalm Death or something, then set the timer on it to go off one minute after your alarm clock. It'll force you to get up. Either that, or you and your whole street will be in for a shock.

I like Napalm Death, and metal. Sometimes I listen to metal to help me sleep.

Speaking of which, I did once set some Machine Head to wake me up the following morning but landed up dreaming of being at a Machine Head gig and waking up a half hour later :D

Mind you, I've slept through an earthquake :o

i have this idea for an Alarm Clock with a 9 digit keypad on the top.
when the alarm goes off it flashes a randomly generated 4 digit code (using the main 7-segment display) that changes every time the alarm goes off, which you have to enter to turn the alarm off. i reckon it would force you to wake up to turn it off (requires cognitive function)

That is actually a brilliant idea. I'd get one.

My alarm didnt go off this morning, think I might have to invest :p

I just set my HIFI to go off in the morning, i set it to go off at a quite high volume which wakes the whole house up :D. Plus i can have the remote on my bedside table to turn it off.

My brother had his stereo to wake him up in the morning with some metal music. But the funny thing was, when it went off, it gradually got louder and louder to the point of the speakers exploding. I always found it funny to hear him fall out of bet to find the off button.
Im not so heavy sleeper so im good for a cheap alarm clock

Hmmm, i'll look into it. i know a few people who are lawyerly who could give me a bit of advice...

I'm afraid you won't be able to patent it as you have put the invention idea in the public domain. You have to keep inventions confidential until you file for patent protection or preferably until after it has been granted if possible.

Clocky is my alarm clock of choice. Genius!
