Any MKIV R32 owners here?

of course i need to see the car first but after driving other MK4's golfs i find the ride very harsh, hit the smallest of pot holes manhole covers etc and you know about it where as on the S3 and Cupra R based on same platform seem so much more composed and absorb the shock much much better

Ride on the R32 is likely to be stiffer than other MKIVs, as they come on 18"s, so less tyre flex.

dont think you'll get a better car for 9k.

Im on 103 thousand miles in mine, and she just gets stronger and stronger. Never a serious thing gone wrong with it bar one thing, the gearbox exploding but that was my own fault.

get over to www.r32oc.com if you plan to keep it, or want any info. they are coming down in price, but when there was only 2500(or thereabouts) sold in the uk when they were released, and lots of those written off, wether you like it or not they command a premium.

the release of the mk5 has brought prices down slightly, but theyve been at around 11 to 16k for a while now.

For the record - Wayn0r has a prime example of a MkIV Golf R32. I can't find a photo of his car, but it's something I would be proud to own and enjoy every moment driving.

Lovely cars.

Sure they're expensive for what they are but then again you'll not lose much money by buying a Golf, especially if you can get it for £9k!!

If you don't want it, I'll definitely have it!

Wayn0r, what size disc's do they have? Is it just me, or do the rear discs look absolutely tiny? I know they don't do a lot of braking, but they just look out of proportion to the fronts!

yea i know, one of my very few gripes with the car. the fronts stock size is 334x34 the rears are only 256 i think? I have a tarox 300mm rear upgrade on the way.

i got insurance through a broker who is a friend of my dads (he used to sponsor me a while ago while i was racing, so i get a good deal) and so far they have been ok with mods.

Those two are lovely... Now looking at a new job so I can afford one!!

Makes my Leon Cupra look errr well boring

lol! its funny, quite a lot of cupra owners taking the step up in the last few months. but also a few migrating to the edition30 gti!!

Lovely car. (mainly aimed at Wayn0r)

Also I don't know why despite owning what is essentially a MKV R32 (250ps) in a different body (albeit set up slightly softer) I still want a MKIV R32.

I really don't know why though (as I know its just plain daft).
