I've always had a soft spot for these :

The old Alfa Montreal.

The noise this one makes just takes the biscuit.....

Oh, oh yea!

So, anyone fancy some financial suicide for lunch? :

A non running '75 Montreal.

It turns over. Some of the electrics work, most importantly the fuel pump goes.....

Anyone fancy their chances? You too could own a rare piece of 70's exotica with a race bred 2.6 litre V8. Ok, it's more of a GT than a sports car but I could live with that.........

This one's a bit closer to the mark:

The ebay'd one is missing some of it's rear trim, hence why it looks a little odd :)

Not a great pic...but you get the gist...

Let's throw in a car chase, too :p

(some good driving in that...)

Firestar, about 8-15k buys you one in very good condition.

Despite being rare and 'exclusive', they're notorious for issues, focused around the Spica injection system and some parts can be tricky to get hold of. This is what keeps their prices down.

However, provided you know what you're doing and how to care for it, it should stand you in good stead :) Most of the service stuff, at least, is easily availiable.

Here's a very nice LHD one for 9.5k, with all the right handling bits and some excellent work done.

Dude, my father and I had one! We sold it about 3/4 months ago!

1972, V8 90degree 2.6L, around 220bhp and the noise was just phenomenal. She was in tip top condition, Jonny69 on here has had a spin in it actually.

I love the whine of the fuel pumps when you turn the ignition on, and the slow rumble to life. Then the scream at 4k rpm - it's an incredible wonderful and beautiful machine. I love Alfas and that was no exception. Yes we had a multitude of problems with it, but it was worth every penny. The live rear also made it fun! :p
