Never easy to get right so need some ideas.
Don't really know her that well "yet" but want something at least a little ermm.. Special.
1 month = bracelet/earrings/ cake n card
6 months = dinner at restaurant they bring over bday cake/dirty weekend at expensive hotel
12 months + = holiday abroad 1 - 2 weeks. bday message over tannoy/plane flyby bday message.
nice discrete necklace or some designer earings, failing that bake her a cake or make a picnic and take her somewhere lol. and when you're at the picnic give her a kite(teamwork Cybermyk!) GIRLS DO LOVE KITES. my sister was running round with glee when she unwrapped the one her bf got her for xmas.. and shes 25!

A gf got me one before, and i just kinda looked at her funny. Id never give one, it kinda reaks of 'Im the kinda person who cant be bothered to think of what to get you, so i pay overpriced for a rubbish teddy which is the commercial way to say I care about you, but obviously not enough to think of something special'

although booking holidays WELL in advance can tend to backfire if the relationship bombs :Z
have a paranoid suspicion (I can get really paranoid in my darker moments) one reason why my gf stayed with me was because she knew about the holiday for her bday. Just over a month later (after the holiday) and it was over

sounds like woman. Iv experienced a lot of lads from extended circles booking holidays with gfs just to keep them in the relationship, it kinds of puts them in a situation where they wont end it as easy, pretty mcuh all girls i know would prefer to put up with a lad till holidays and by then are to set in their ways to break up. Suprises of any sort are what you need!
In times like those you ring up her work and book it off for her
Get her mum to help pack a suitcase with what she likes etc etc..
