Age of Conan Story

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is a massively-multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) based on the world and works of acclaimed author Robert E. Howard. In Age of Conan, players enter Hyboria with thousands of their friends and enemies to live, fight, and explore the dark and brutal world of King Conan.

Currently On Pre-Order for £25 ( RRP of £30)

There will be a monthly fee like all MMORPGs - this fee is said to be comming to about the £8-9 region

Game Requirements:

The minimum requirements for Age of Conan have not yet been finalized. The game will be highly scalable so you can adjust the settings according to the performance of your PC.

Lets hope the DX10 content doesn't need a stupid spec'd system like crysis, and this game uses multithreading :)

Well it will be 4 months later when it comes out so lets hope it all goes down okay :)
 
By DX10 content do you mean it's fully DX10? Or can it be run on DX9? Or do we not know yet? Cause i was looking forward to this but i wont be upgrading to that abomination of an Operating System.

Seemingly the game is changable so that it will use any set of hardware.

So you can max out anysetup

I've highly tempted just to run Vista for the DX10 content - all the videos online pretty much are DX10 content.

They all start out that way though. Once the game matures after 8 odd months then it just becomes yet another mmo grindfest. I'm tempted to try it as I was a mmo addict, but I know I'll just end up questioning myself after a while.

I can't agree more. I was a WOW addict for a year then got bored due to the constant grinding. My main hope is that the variety of things to do will be better than just kill, kill, collect, deliver and repeat. It was so stupidly boring but then i was stupid for paying for it!
 
can be pre-ordered for £17.99.

Sounds like a good game, got my order in, if its crap then oh well not as if i paid the high street price lol
 
I am in the Beta. Probably not allowed to say how good or bad it is but I have not really made up my mind, not perfect but I have not played enough to see the later content. I hope it is good because WAR looks good because you can lvl up though PvP, Aion looks sweet just because I love NCSofts art on the Lineage series, this is very similar in style but they are both RvR like WoW, this is the only game that has good Clan v Clan PvP.
