Dell 2407 accident

Hi,

During a recent flat move my 5month old Dell 2407 had a little accident. Basically it fell forward about 15cm onto its face hitting the mouse/keybaord/speaker in front of it.

When I turned it on it was not looking good and look like it had shattered where it caught something :eek:

It is still under dell warranty. I do not have any accidental damage insurance.

Do you think if I call dell and tell them it has red lines running across it (which it does) I would get away with it?

if it looks like it was damaged then you could send it to Dell and you might find they just send it back and tell you it was damage not covered by the warantee.

do you have a pic of the damage?

i've been more fortunate in the past, i dropped my old samsung 19" CRT from waist height down 4 stairs and all i got was a small crack in the plastic. :@

So basically you want Dell to pay for your mistake?
