New series of 5th Gear?

Fifth gear really frustrates me, because there is a market for a top gear alternative that focuses on more everyday cars - but fifth gear would rather be a fifth rate top gear rip off. I just don't understand why they can be so misguided.

Does the shaky camera bit in the cafe really annoy anyone else? It's like they've got an alcoholic cameraman or something! 
Well that was complete drivel, I fast-forwarded through virtually all of it.
And the Heston Blumenthal piece was shamelessly stolen from a magazine which did a Heston+M5 feature a while back - can't remember which one though.
They're still trying hard to be Top Gear - witness the silly antics with the cucumber and trying to be "rad" with the photography on the shootout. Painfully awful as ever.

What else is there to do for a failed racing driver? Seriously, if he didn't present television, would any of us have ever heard of him?
I tell you whats REALLY funny...
Not only is this program 'such a waste of time' you're all watching it, you're all posting about it on the net as well.
As much as you all hate the presenters and how 'carp' they are at driving they all make a living messing about in cars on telly and motorsport AND make a lot of money doing it.

Only kiddin, yes it aint top gear, but there are very few motoring programmes out there so i'm all for a few extra ones... (it's also nice that this programme don't HATE bikes, at least not like top gear)

I guess he's not the best racing driver in the world but he came 3rd once in the Le Mans 24 with Derek Bell, not a bad achievement.. his driving skills are deffo way above average and I'd take his advice on if a car handled or not as pretty much law.

... just having some fun. That's a tired argument I'm afraid, akin to countering criticisms of "useless" F1 drivers by saying they're way better than any of us could hope to be.She may be dam annoying but I'd bet my bottom dollar she is a faster driver than you.
The difference is that none of us profess to being racing drivers or television presenters. These people have to be judged relative to their peers and, in that regard, they're found seriously wanting IMO. Tiff & VBH may be better drivers than the majority of us but that doesn't mean they're good drivers relative to other professionals nor can they present a television program to save their lives.
Well, maybe a tired argument but just having a go at tiff for being 'a failed racing driver' when in reality he's had a pretty good career and continues to do so in his chosen field ie- cars, is narrow minded and typical of forum warriors everywhere.

Well the show was so interesting that I actually opted to go and make a cup of tea for the last half an hour, longest cup-of-tea-making ever me thinks
The only person I like in the show to be honest is Johnny, the lardy guy is OK in 30 seconds clip bursts or when he's getting injured, as for VBH, with modern day technology can they not CG her mouth to make it not look like a frog and alter the caustic tones of voice?
Also anybody spot the quick balloon or whatever it was on the side of the track ala TG

How much did renault pay for the script they gave that Tom bloke, and how desperate was he to prove to the world he had a girl friend .
The show is Ok, I think it's primary reason for existance is to demonstrate how amazing top gear is. I have to confess to enjoying watching Tiff, Jason Plato and VBH. But the rest of them are border line annoying!!!!
Edit: In fact they are way past border line.......................
That new guy's skit on going to Ferrari was cringe worthy :/ and he got rewarded for it by driving a 599. There is no justice in this world. Nor is there need for that long haired ginger guy that just appears to know nothing and offer no real incite at all. Perhaps they could cut it down to 30 mins again and just have Tiff, VBH and JP.
Would VBH look hot naked???
