Hey,

Well, anyone have any ideas how to make a lot of gold easily?

I am a level 70 Shadow Priest, (1200 bonus spell damage if that helps if I need to kill things) and have a standard flying mount. I am on a PVE server too (Nagrand) and lastly, I have Enchanting and Tailoring as professions (my tailoring is maxed, enchanting at 370).

I have sold a few runic spell threads, and obviously do enchanting, but I know a few people that are earning like a 1000 gold in a few days farming... one does a lot of skinning I know, but a few won't give me their secrets so I don't grab their resources :P

Anyone got any tips? I want an epic flyer damnit :(

most people i know either have skills like mining/flowerpicking to sell in AH or get a area where some good items, blue+ can drop as world drops or a area where a plan will drop.

Then they stay there for days farming away until they get what they want..

it seems to be that the gathering professions make money more easily than the crafting ones.

i just finally gave up chanting yesterday (at 352) for herby. as herbs go for a lot of money and without any really good chants i struggle to make cash.

LW is the same - the mats sell for more than the items !

the other way to make some cash seems to be to farm motes and sell primals.

Best advice i can give to you and everyone is:

Stop doing quests at 66, grind/instance the rest, then quest away at 70. I generally stop around Blades Edge.

Do the daily quests in Ogrilla, Skettis and isntances/pvp. Don't forget in 2.4 more daily quests will be introduced.

If your scryers/aldor grind the locations where there reputation items drop, normally a good way for some income.

Enchanting is great, make tons of Wizard oils/mana oils and sell them on AH, tons of raiding guilds need them.

Farm primals! Primal water in skettis, fire in shadowmoon valley, life in zangramarsh around the dead mire, air and earth elemental plateu.

Tailoring only starts to make good money if you can make Spellstrike, battlecast etc.

Yup gathering professions are the way forward. I have a Priest who is a Miner/Skinner. Find some spots that are good for leather drops (i'm not telling you mine in case you're on my server:P) and set yourself a limit. I generally say to myself 3 stacks of Heavy Knothide and 3 stacks of Adamantite and i'lls top gathering for the day (unless i find some on my travels). Usually takes an hour. That's about 200g per day if i do that each day.

Also, do the Dailies. IIRC the Ogri'la daily quests amount to about 75g per day and the Netherwing ones about the same. That's another 150g on top of your Mining/Skinning.

Of course, the Gathering depends on your server's economy but the only way to find out is to do it and test for yourself. Alternatively you can scour the Auction House for bargains, buy them, and sell them for more. I know a guy who literally sits at the Auction House all weekend. Makes a fortune too. Can't say i'm that sad though :P

You can make approx 300g per hour, how? I will not say ;)

My char had a netherdrake, I thought it was slow..

I tried the 60% mount on another character (never owned a 60% flying mount, im that good) and that was shocking!

Best leveling advice hands down.

Did you think of the exploited Chinese who do it for hrs and hrs to only get a few pence?

No, I didn't think so :D

Mining can make you 1000-3000g a day depending on your server.

The way i got my epic flying mount was to play the AH, Check it as much as you can you will find greens and blue that are highly underpriced buy and re sell :D

There also a mod out there that will scan the AH for underpriced items that you can sell to the vendor for more.

You can make 300g an hour by farming the mine at netherwing ledge.

300g an hour is small.

Example is if your a herbalist, log on at strange times, farm SMV for this herb i cant remember the name off and you can make around 2k for 30mins work.

2K??????????????????????????????????????

SOB :( I really wish I didn't need to keep tailoring and enchanting as professions, but because I am using the Frozen Shadow Weave set and need to enchant my rings for spell power (as mentioned, I am a shadow priest) I need those professions :( :( :(

What would be completely ideal is if I could find 2 really nice rings and then could give up on the enchanting, but I suppose if I stopped enchanting / tailoring I would not longer be able to wear my spell strike set or the enchant on my rings (the spell power) would then decide to disappear just to annoy me :(

Maybe for my warlock I will not go for enchanting to begin with, and instead just work on herbalism.... I am only level 30 with my blood elf warlock (level 70 with my draenie shadow priest, on a PVE server Nagrand). I guess I could do herbalism and then try to find a few areas to power level it or something...

Total BS! 2.5hrs to earn an epic mount? GG If you make that much gold quit your day job and sell 5k gold to various websites for 100 euros per 2.5hrs farming ** leet herbs

People farm MOTES in SMV. Herbalism is crap to make large amounts of money in a very short time span. The Motes lots of ppl talk about are the air/mana and water motes.. thats to long and boring to make gold though IMO.

Water from Nagrand
Air from SMV
Mana from Netherstorm

Want more info on the motes? just ask.

Actually, theyre happy for a job, a quite well paid job comparative to what they could get with their skill set otherwise. Farming gold in wow isnt stitiching footballs together for 18 hours by candle light and whilst the wages are shocking by western standards, they dont live in the west.

Dont know which sources you have but I have seen a documentary of these chinese farmers who play this game all day and they are far from happy.

As for there living conditions there even worse!

The money they get for completing each job is very small from what they get per order, but yes. It is more than average over there.

Of course that's what you saw in a documentary. Why on earth would they make a documentary scaremongering PC gaming with happy looking chinese families enjoying themselves and having a nice life?

Your source is biased and judgemental.

Well I spent a year in beijing and you cannot move for the kids begging in the streets. I spent quite some time in the internet cafe's there and the kids doing the gold farming were a lot happier than the kids outside begging for a living. I aint saying all those kids wouldnt rather be living a normal schhol and fun life, its just they dont have that option. Its make some pennies or starve.

Its kind of like the hullaballoo about some clothes companies using child labour a while back. Everyone agreed it was wrong and pressured the companies to change their practices and they did, sourcing their clothes from 'ethical', more expensive countries. Unfortunately those kids were sometimes the sole wage earners for a family and we in the west turfed them out of the job because it made us feel better. We go away feeling happy and they face severe financial difficulties without any social schemes like we have - its beg or die.

Anyway, way too heavy for this forum, just saying, for all the reasons not to buy gold, explotation isnt a good one :)

So you rip my post apart yet I don't see you giving anything else on the subject. Your post was about as useful as a chocolate fireplace.

Who are you to assume my opinion is baised purely on a documentary? Do you not read what goes on with these people and the sorts of tragic events that happen on a regular basis. Not to mention this thing is illegal and ruins the econemy on World of Warcraft.

When you look at it like that yes I do agree with you, but it still is not right. There are other ways to resolve the real life issues than resorting to gaming, as much as an easy option that may be for some.

It is a heavy subject for this forum I agree.
