Before anyone starts, work commitments mean mornings must be spent by the phone, so walking outside, cycling etc is not an option.

So i've decided weight training isnt gonna shift as much weight as i need, at least not while maintaining the right diet. So im taking the plunge on something to do low intensity pre breakfast cardio, the best kind! Thing is i dont see the point in blowing £500 on a half decent treadmill with motorised incline and all that gubbins just for a gentle hours walking every morning.

Instead im plumping for :

Star Shaper BT-3130DH-C Motorized Treadmill

Get fit with this fantastic entry level affordable treadmill. The key features of this model are its 2.2 hp peak and 1.0 hp continuous motor which provides a top speed of 8 mph and offers manually adjustable levels of incline. The running deck (120 x 40) allows for longer running gaits and is cushioned to provide protection against each impact on foot fall. The computer monitors time, distance, speed and calories. The auto stop key is present for safety reasons and the treadmill can be folded away after use to maximise your space.

Features -

* Motor - 1.0HP continuous DC (2.2HP peak)
* Speed - 0.6-8mph
* Incline - Manual elevation
* Console - Large LCD screen displaying speed, distance, time and calories burnt.
* Deck - Cushioned running deck to reduce impact, size 120cm x 40cm (L x W)

reduced from 250-150 delivered

Comments? Suggestions?

Only downside i can see is im on the top end of the max user weight, but lets be honest thats for running jogging impacts that really strain the motor, im betting a 20st fattie could walk on it all day

Go for a walk outside and give me the money.

More seriously if you only intend on walking/jogging then I can't see anything wrong, it is worryingly cheap though...

Well arrived today, lightweight it is NOT! I had to help the delivery driver with it and tbh it was heavy! And i know weights!

As for performance, so far spot on, put together in minuites, can be folded down pretty quick too (but bear in mind its real heavy!)

Had 30 mins of incline walking at 4kph and was faultless, then upped it to 10kph for a quick run (didnt wanna push my luck as im a good few K over the 100k max user limit) but it ran fine with no slippage or odd noises.

So far cant complain, at £150 this is a real bargain!

Can you not forward the calls to a mobile and go running with your mobile and a bluetooth heatset.

nope,

first i have no idea how despite being in IT,

second im a man so i cant talk and run (or walk)

third i have no pen and paper to put down client details,

fourth i cant take my scedule with me as its a large binder.

Fifth im one of the hardest training bodybuilders i know and if i want some comfort while i walk ill damn well have some because theres NO comfort in lifting when i do it.

Sixth, and perhaps most importantly questioning me means i'll have to come tense my biceps in front of your GF (or mum) and ride off with her on a motorcycle.

Seventh You can use your buetooth headset to call Trisha about it ;)
