I'm going to Nottingham Arena on Thursday for a gig and wanted to know what the parking for the Arena itself is like, is there plenty or is it hit and miss, does it cause long ques, how much does it cost etc.

It says on the Arena website there is ample parking but I would rather trust the opinion of someone who lives there rather than a corporate bumph info site ;)

Cheers in advance.

Just up the road from the Nottingham Arena there is the NCP car park which is quite good for parking, get there early though, otherwise you'll be queing.
There is also disabled parking right next to the arena if you have a badge for disabled parking.
Other than than, there are places around the arena to park with about a 5-10 min walk...

what you going to see???

yeah get there early is the best advice. i saw the foo fighters there last year and there was a pretty big queue to get in the arena car park. there are also other ncp places up maid marion way which mean more of a walk (about 10 minutes more i reckon) than the ncp at the broadmarsh (which is the one .Kencs mentioned i think?)

When we went to see Maroon 5 there we used the Broadmarsh Car Park. 5 minute walk. Took ages to get out though (as everyone else had the same plan).

Cost wise, I think it was an evening flat rate, although I can't remember what it was.

I went to see Kanye West before xmas and parking at the one just up from the Arena (Next to the college) was fine, it just took us 25mins to get out of the car park with the amount of people trying to get out too.....

now you see, that is why I like living on a private road (which is less than 10 minutes from the arena) not to mention, there is a 24 hour secure carpark just around the corner from me (huntingdon street carpark)

park and ride at The Forest tram stop. Free parking and the tram is £2.40 return. Get off at the Lace Market and walk for less than 5 mins and you're there.

I use to go Ice Skating there for 14 years (Not Figure skating before someone says owt lol) and now im just 100% sick of the place lol
