There's a metal cover on the road outside my living room window and when cars go by, it goes "CLUNK CLUNK" as the front and rear wheels go over it. It's only just started to happen after several months living here.
It really started to annoy me around 5pm when a steady stream of traffic was going by (the noise of the traffic doesn't bother me at all (<30mph anyway).
It's a big square shaped one, but I'm not sure what it's for. it's
definitely not a drain cover. It could be water/electric/cable/telephone/sewer/anything - there's no overhead lines around here (central london).
Just trying to work out who to call about it, and even if if did would someone do something about it? It can get pretty annoying and I only have single glazing too!
I guess I could take a picture of it the morning..
