Best sounding E46 M3 I've heard.

Sounds like my 330d  :p

Btw - would you recommend a Gruppe-M on an e46 M3? Did you do anything to the induction/exhaust on any of yours?

Both my M3's were standard and I chose not to go down the modding route. I am not a fan of the M3 sound, its tinny and very thin, and aquired taste I suppose, as is the Gruppe-M. I have heard a few different systems on M3's, but none of them, other than the one above have really sounded good. I think BMW got the sound wrong myself, even more so on the CSL with its simply breathtaking induction noise, only to be followed by that thin wiiiinnnnn when it goes past.

It does sound amazing. :D

But... the M3 isn't a muscle car so the sound just doesn't match the image.

A muscle car is typically a V8, it sounds nothing like a V8 once moving, but it does sound closer to a Speed 6 TVR perhaps? I saw a similar post on the thread below the video, the "******* eejits meeting place" as I like to call it (no inference) and felt it an odd thing to conclude, but each to their own.

Yeah - I was very disappointed with the sound of the M3 CS I took out a while back. Would very much like to get an e46 M3 cabrio at some point this year - but I'd like to tweak the sound of the thing a little.

Just don't buy the new one, its 6 series ugly, only uglier!
