Burnout Paradise review by IGN

I played it religiously when it came out. I got it early and played it solid for about 3 months (though most of the time during the day on random ranked with my mate).

The Demo is great, super fun. Not too keen on the constant driving about thing. Prefer Burnout Takedown on XBOX. That is great fun and very arcade. Think the gameplay in Paradise is fine, but not a game to drop into play a round or two, then leave. It'll draw you in!

I've ordered it on 360. Mainly cos most folk on my friends list will play it on the 360.

Also ~J~ will want more fodder :p

Too right, and if it's anything like that afternoon Wyrdo and I had with the camera it'll be a right laugh!!

You can, you can get the superior PS3 version :D Especially as you love your PS3!

"superior" is in the eye of the beholder :p. My friends are all buying the Xbox360 version and it's more important for me to play with those if I'm being honest. I said this was the reason I'd buy Xbox360 games over PS3 ones that are multi-format. If they didn't, I'd think about getting the PS3 version.

What is your plans for DMC4 in that case (As far as I know there is no online stuff for it). I know the load times would annoy me (just cos I own both consoles).

I feel annoyed paying a bit more for it, as it is cheaper in the UK for 360, but if I really cared then I would just import from USA for 30 quid.

Still semi in 2 minds....

Still be Live enabled though wont it :) so again better if your friends have 360 so you can still send messages, or chat to them

I can't really afford it either way, I'm skint. AS you say, Xbox360 one is cheaper, especially so as I feel I'd need to import a DS3 pad if I was to get it on the PS3.

So Burnout is your choice of 1 game you can afford over DMC4?

I hope you don't live to regret it. I am getting both games, but expect DMC4 to deliver more what I need than Burnout.

Stick DMC4 in your rental queue then I guess.

Thank you for your input, although the quote implied I was asking the question specifically to nokkonwud. (To me your input is irrelevant in this particular question as you do not own both consoles or have his financial constraints.) But thanks anyway.

I played Burnout religiously for around 3-4 months and further on and off. I thought DMC 2 and 3 were pretty poor, so it wasn't a tough choice for me really. It would be Burnout every day of the year and Burnout Paradise is my most anticipated game for a long time.

I would rent DMC4, but I cancelled my rental company as I couldn't afford them any more.

I'll be getting DMC4 on PS3, as there is no reason for me to get it on the 360, unless i was an achievement junkie, which i am not :)

Ahhhh, Devil May Cry. Get ya.

I thought because the thread was car related, there was a Delorean game out.

Doh.

If you wish to conduct private conversations then I suggest you do so by email or msn or some other forum of communication, as this is a public forum then you have no right to dictate who reply's to what sorry.

I assume Jumpurs will also be getting a telling off for invading your privacy?
