Which 120mm Fan?

Well ive carried out the ultra scientific bench test several times.

Attach an Amber and a YL to my fan controller and stand them on the table with the fan controller at min. I listen to both as i increase the speed.

From that test i can confidantly stste that the YL makes less noise and moves more air (my sideburns are very accurate scientific instraments).
 
But you may be hard of hearing on one side, or your sideburns may be asymetrically trimmed! Have you repeated the test with the fans on reverse sides of your face in order to account for these possibilities? :D

I have a Panaflo btw, very difficult to get and more expensive than the YLs but quality. It's not inaudible, but its noise is such a gentle loving purr that I don't mind it, and I sleep with the PC in my room! :p

Certainly did, i observed strict test conditions. Ive evn attached a fan that wasnt spinning to act as a placebo.:D
