Just a small heads up guys, as I don't think it has been covered very much. The demo for Devil May Cry 4 is out on the PSN today (24th) - for the USA region. Europe won't get it till next week. The Xbox 360 demo is still scheduled to come up.

So, who else is eagerly looking forward to this? Despite the fairly average initial showings (gamer.tv gave it 6/10, some 7/10 and 8/10 elsewhere) I'm really anticipating a next-gen DMC. I just hope Nero and Dante are actually distinguishable from each other in terms of gameplay - their appearance is copy and paste enough as it is. Bring it on Capcom.

edit: demo for the EU/US PSN seems to be delayed till 1st Feb, but it's up on the Japanese store now.

I wouldn't say eagerly, I've only briefly played DMC3 and never tried the others. Still I'm curious to give it a go and may buy it if its good.
 
im eager for some new content is all, just glad its a new demo

the fact that its DMC4 though dosnt make any more or less eager.

Mainly because i found 2 + 3 to be highly repetitive and 4 looks like its going to be more of the same. But i will give it a try, its only fair(free) :P
 
i've played them all, another of my fav series. DMC1 was excellent, 2 was bad, 3 came back but not upto 1 standard but not far of - lets hope 4th rocks

Seems decent enough, not one I'll be buying but I'm sure many will be happy with it.

I think it's God of War or nothing for me as far as these games go, since Ninja Gaiden and now this have done nothing for me.
 
Played through the demo.

Combat was fun but I think it might get a bit repetitive, it wasn't very challenging either. Seemed very linear as well, not sure if I'll be buying this one.
 
How far did you get? I was at the big castle gates when time ran out, reckon it's possible to get through them if you rush it (and if the demo allows it).

Yep all in english apart from the little bit at the start with the warning notices but so far cut scenes/hints etc all in english.

EDIT: Thanks again, downloading now. As stated above, 640mb, and the Japanese PSN is going at a fair old speed too. :)
