they are incredibly complicated biological machines.
A reletive of mine had a liver transplant a few years back and all of his life he drank black tea,after the transplant he couldnt stomach it and it had to be made with milk.
Ive heard other stories like this when the transplantee takes on some of the likes of the doner.
for a bone marrow transplant i think they need to basicly kill the host (kill white blood cells etc) , then replace with the new stuff, which may still be rejected and they will need drugs all there life to stay alive. I could be wrong though.
That really is amazing. I wonder if they can replicate it to stop future rejections?
Exactly what I thought, if it's "repeatable" this would be a huge advance!
