My local hairdresser has now upped the price to £15 from £8. This is alongside new management taking over and it's only a small outlet with about 5 staff. By doing this, they lost lots of customers, but she said she doesn't care - possibly because she makes a larger profit margin. She has lost customers none the less!

Anyways..... I am fishing for a unisex hair dressers at lunch, but want to know how much do you pay for a cut? Maybe my standards of £8-10 is too low and I should expect to pay ~£15?

Even before i started shaving my hair myself i never went to one of these poncy unisex hairdressers that cost the earth, used to pay £5.50 about 3 years back so i reckon he would have went up a couple of quid by now.

£7 (barbers), although I have heard of a new place that is £3 - I'm dubious as I've not paid £3 for a cut for over 10 years!

£7 usually just give him a £3 tip so £10 which is pretty reasonable in my eyes my gf pays £110 . in summer i shave my hair every 2-3 weeks.

£25.50 once a month

I'm a man, but I like to get a cut that doesn't make me look like Wayne Rooney (Hairstyle, not face ;))

Sean :)

£12 and a £2 tip if I go into the hairdressers (as I'll be doing tonight). A friend also cuts my hair now and then and I give her £10.
