Three Little Pigs 'too offensive'

I would say I'm pretty liberal but I think its about time this country shut its borders for a while and sorts itself out. These problems seem to stem from cultural clashes that we don't seem to be able to deal with in a sensible fashion. We can't cope with the influx of foreign people entering the country and are only making it worse by accepting new applications. Granted there are a lot of genuine cases for asylum seekers etc, but at the minute, they all seem to be dumped in the same place where they fail to become integrated into British society.

We have pockets of ethnic minorities. That is wrong. A multi-cultural nation should have its cultures distributed evenly. I don't care if my neighbour is Muslim, Hindu, Catholic, black, white, Croatian or Serb, as long as they accept they are in a different country. For any foreign national to come to live in Britain, it must be because it is for a greater opportunity than wherever they came from, or it does not make sense to come. Therefore they should accept that their lifestyle should have to change and they should have to adapt to a different way of living. At the minute, this is not happening because I think our government has stretched its resources so thinly and has tied itself up in so much red-tape that the help these people need to achieve integration is not there.

And all the while this is going on, our own native citizens are suffering because of the imbalance in the benefit and aid systems. I'm seriously considering moving abroad myself after I graduate because our county no longer seems to be able to organise itself. I don't think my idea is Utopian and unrealistic, it just requires some politicians to grow some balls.

P.S. 3 little pigs offensive? The word 'black' will be removed from the dictionary next.

Agreed. Seems some can't ditinguish between religion, nationality and race either.
 
I think the best way to stop all these crazy "PC gone mad!!!" stories would be for a prominent Muslim to publicly condemn such idiotic decisions.

As the Muslims posting in this thread have stated they could'nt care less about Three Little Chuffing Pigs, I'd assume the majority of mulsims countrywide think exactly the same. A Muslim with a voice that will be listened to would do wonders if he/she stated that things like this were ridiculous.

If you read the article in the link a few posts above, then you would know that a prominent muslim organisation already has made this step.

The other question is, what criteria would you use for "A Muslim with a voice that will be listened to", and who would give them a platform to speak from? The media is ony interested in controversy, not reason.

well maybe the message needs reiterating by a more prominent person.

I would suggest a Peer or soemone within government who would vbe able to stand up in parliment and speak.

Regarding the Media, it depends on the organisation. Scumbag journalists for the likes of the Sun and the ITV Evening News should be largely ignored anyway. A more reputable organisation could provide an adequate platform

I think you'll find that most muslims are just trying to make a living and dont have time to get involved in rubbish like this (which it is).

I think its the PC liberals that need to sort it out as they stirred it up.

Its just another way of keeping muslims and islam in the mainstream press.

Immigration, its the goverment thats to blame for that, not race or religion.

I wasn't referring to just any old mulsim I meant a prominent one, such as a politican or a peer etc.

Unfortunatley they are that deleuded that they think they are doing the right thing. It needs someone who they can't accuse of racalistism to tell them in no uncertain terms to shut up.

1) I don't know of any Muslims that would be offended by that.

2) It's a ridiculous generalisation that's been to death and back that they 'could' be offended.

That was my point. This pointless censorship has come about because of bad planning on the government's part. No-one will do anything about it though because parties are too eager to appease Europe and no-one will get elected if they say that taxes need to be raised to sort things out.
