Sim games cover a broad spectrum so you'll need to explain your tastes a bit more specifically but in the spirit of things a highly underrated game is Europa Universalis III. It's quite simply a fantastically deep and satisfying economic and political sim that spans the world and will keep you busy for months.

Yea, Transport Tycoon. I must have logged countless hours on it, great fun.

Im looking for something that is highly addictive and rewarding game like simcity, something that looks good visualy and where you can get your teeth into ohh and is not more than a year old.
