hey i know its come up quite a bit and i have done some searchs. But i keep seeing conflicting opinions on differnt tv cards.

Ive heard both good and bad about Hauppauge with terrible software so im not sure about them.

Looking at around 50-60 not really bothered if its a bit above or bellow i just want to get a good quality tv card.

I would like to have a dual tuner in it and dont really know anything else about them :)

I was thinking about the Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T 500 Dual digital DVB-T PCI TV Tuner card

What do you guys think?

Same card I have, works fine. Unsure about the software I use Vista Media Centre which does everything I need.

Snag... I have 4 gig mem and I currently can only use 3.07 gig!
Get my memory back if I enable memory remapping but them the card stops working

Hauppage are doing a fine job of ignoring the problem...

The Compro VideoMate E700 PCI-E Dual DVBT Tv Card?

Its the same price, wonder waht the differences are. I think id rather PCI as the PCI-e is in a tough spot to get to and i may not be able to fit one in there actually. may have to check tht.

I could always put it in the spar PCI-E x16

thats fine by me. I just want one that i can plug in and use it with windows media player and be happy with getting all the channels possible. Is it to muc hto ask :p lol.

Also id like to be able to record all the films i like, ill be fine doig taht on a single wd AAKS wont i?

if u have vista64... i would say contact your motherboard maker. seems like a bios issue.

but if your running vista32 then thats your problem.

Ok then thanks, thats set. Now to sort out my 7.1 which randomly died one day  may need to get a replacement for that as well.

:EDIT:

You have 500w subwoofers :| mmm how much wehre they? My nabours already hate me because i play drums, im sure they wont mind if i got some 500w subwoofers too! l

TV cards work on vista 64 now? I'll need to have a look at them again, when i was trying get one that would work at the beginning of last year i had no luck. bought a fair few of them too, not all of them were returnable. Pain in the ass tbh so i gave up and bought a new TV instead :p

But if they are working now would be handy.

why do you need subwoofers that powerful?
because i dj and do partys.. also i like bass lol...

yes most good tv cards work in vista64.. i have 2 tv cards in my system, 1 TerraTec Cinergy 2400i DT dual dvb-t pci-e and 1 WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2 dvb-s2 pci... both are running in vista64 fine..

I think to say you like base might warrent a 100w subwoofer. A 1000w is a tad OTT. I gues you have to take all your own speakers when you do Djing?

Either that or your a chav who to "who can get the most annoyingly loud speakers" over the top.

Their cars would probably fall apart if you put 1000w subwoofer in it.

yep i have to take my own speakers , amps.. 1000w isn't OTT when your a dj, a 100w wouldn't be enough... of course i don't use the 1000w in my home system, i use the 500w's on that which sounds good..
