To be fair it was the only decent thing Kalou did all game. First half he was very wasteful.

Very average game though, incredibly slow pace to it and Nigeria didn't seem too fussed about losing.

That is a very good point, but in this instance he got his shot on target and below the bar! :eek: lol

Drogba looks so unfit, hopefully he will get better as the tournament progresses. I'm still amazed with the amount of premiership players that are playing in this tournament.
 
Egypt race into a 2 nil lead against Cameroon after only 18 mins.

Perfect start for the neutral viewer.
 
3 nil at half-time.

The defending champions are hammering one of the pre-tournament favourites.
 
Not a bad game between Tunisia and Senegal there. Cracking equaliser from Tunisia.
 
I absolutely love this tournament. Some of the most enjoyable football to watch.

A couple of reasons:
All the players can strike it from miles out, so you get plenty of massive shots
They all appear to enjoy it
Lots of large scores
some fancy play, and they love doing it
If the ball is heading towards a corner of the net, the keepers don't palm/parry it, they always, without fail, punch it at their full extent

If Nigeria get knocked out tonight when will players arrive home to play for their clubs again?

We have Portsmouth on Wednesday :)
