Ive clocked my gigabyte p35c-ds3r/q6600 to 3.4 using the following settings which are stable after 1 hr so far:

378x9
vcore: 1.368
MCH: +1
FSB: +1

Im getting these temps with those settings:

load: 66.62.62.66
Idle: 41.37.37.41

I have a turniq installed and running at 1875rpm plus its all in a cooler master rc1000 case, the ambient temp is below 20c.

Do these temps look ok? they seem a little close to 70 to me

TIA

Jody

Thanks Rob

do you think it would make a lot of difference lapping my q6600 and turniq? or will i be able to get to 3.6/3.8 from here?

That I can't answer it depends on how bad concave the cpu and heatsink
are.

Bear in mind that you will void the warranty by lapping and depends how bad you want to run 3.6/3.8 :D

I know you mentioned your case temperature is fairly low, is it possible to get more fresh air on to the CPU heatsink which might improve your temps.

Sorry I can't be of any more help :)

Tuniq you will do well to get 3.6, its fan really doesnt push enough air to go much higher.. As Rob suggests you might look at increasing the airflow in the case..

Lapping wise you Q6600 has pretty even temps, should you lap it then I would expect the temps to even out at around 62c across all 4 cores.. which would give you a little extra head room

ive been tinkering with it and i cant seem to keep the temps below 70c when at 3.6 with turniq on full bore (2000rpm+) i may just keep it at 3.4 then as all seems well there, dont want to give my warranty up just yet

i personaly think these turniqs are over rated, they are quite noisy above 1700rpm, although i must admit im probably not qualified to say that as i have no experience of its rivals
