Didn't someone on these forums reach the 17k mark with a single 8800GTS 512?

Though I reckon that score would be more in the 18k regions with XP.

£250 is about right for this card, I'll get one as long as they come in at around that price point

no it will be a lot less than that, they have to claw back some market from nvidia.

it will be closer the the higher priced 3870's we have seen advertised here and elsewhere

hi gadgets

i dont know if you know something we dont on this forum but i seriously doubt it but i would like to eat my words if you are right.
if ati could bring this in at about £200-£220 this product would fly out. hell if it didnt fit my mobo ( pci-e 1.0a) i would upgrade at that price

cheers

A website in the UK briefly had a page with the 3870X2 on and it was priced £330 inc VAT for me thats too much for this card and makes it more likely people will simply buy 2 3870's and xfire them. Some websites in the US are advertising them for as low as $459 = £230ish so rip off britain alive and well again it seems. Apologies for the mistake.

I'm gonna trust the user review over that website on this one and none of the other reviews so far have had results that high yet.

Wait till it's out and stop showing hate to the card as you've taken the word pathetic to a whole new level.

Why do you hate this card so much?. It really puzzles me why people would act this way about, yea a graphics card????????????:confused::confused::confused:. Or is it that you're an Nvidia fanboy?.

Edit: Is the PCI-E 1.1 vs PCI-E 2.0 differences real?. If so then I'll be sticking with this GTX.

Until it is officially released it is stupid to either promote or dismiss this card as we don't have RELIABLE reviews of it. Of more interest to me is how this compares to 2 3870's xfired if performance is only a little bit better then i think it will alter how people choose to spend their money.

Hi, if you think this way about Britain then don't buy the stuff. So many people must read the Sun or something to even think that way, they obviously haven't the intelligence to read passed the headlines.
This is the way it has always been, we are a small island, sales aren't large enough and other countries in europe are no different...

You do know what vat is?

VAT = Value Added Tax yes i do know what it is. To Chris so we should just shut up and pay inflated prices because thats the way it has always been  what do they ship them over in the QM2 in a nice cushy cabin so they don't get bumped there is no reason why it has to cost so much more here then it does in the US.
